"I am a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast, I’ve stepped over the line; the decision has been made; I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I will not look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still. My past is redeemed; my present makes sense; my future is secure. I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded . I now live by faith, love by patience, live by prayer, and labor by power .

My pace is set; my gait is fast; my goal is the heaven. My road is narrow; My way is rough; my companions few; my Guide reliable; my mission clear! I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity; I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, nor meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I will not give up, back up, let up, or shut up until I have prayed up, preached up, stored up, and stayed up the cause of Jesus Christ!

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I must go until He returns; give until I drop; preach until all know; and work until He comes. And when He comes to get His own, He will have no trouble recognizing me; My colors are flying high, and they are clear for all to see."

“Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.”

-Ps 132:9

Back in the garden after Adam and Eve sinned and realized what they had done the first thing they try to do is cover themselves. They hastily make clothing out of fig leaves. God in his mercy gives them a change of clothes. Skins, instead of course leaves. His robes for mine as the hymn goes.

Michiel Coxie – The Expulsion From Paradise, public domain

This imagery of new clothing is replete throughout scripture. Robes can signify our depravity or the righteousness we receive from Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 64:

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (64:6)

Zechariah 3:

“Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.’ (:3-4)

Try as we might, we cannot rid ourselves of these rags. We cannot make our rags clean or pass fig leaves off for skins. God himself must cause our iniquity to pass from us through the miraculous blood of the lamb.

Revelation 19:

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.” (7-9)

It is critical that we come to this wedding in the correct attire. Contrast these words in Revelation with the Jesus’s words in Matthew 22 in the parable of the wedding feast:

“And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” -Matthew 22:11-13

Beloveds, many are called, but few are chosen. (Matthew 22:14)

Is scripture telling us we must work for salvation? Be careful with the book of Revelation and the parables of Jesus. You need the entire counsel of God to unlock them. What saith the scripture?

“This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17.

Beloveds, these are the true sayings of God.

Selah.

Let us not tangle ourselves in affairs that cause us more strife than they bring us peace.

"....avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain."

-Titus 3:9

All of these are for our own vanity only. None of these bring glory to God or peace to our souls.

If we partake in nonsense, then we should expect our life to be filled with strife and meaningless battles that ultimately add up to nothing.

Additionally, we should be gentle to whatever extent possible. We’re all different and some of us rougher than others, but the Lord requires us to be merciful and meek unto all men. We should not be quick to the fight, even when we know we're right. Instead we must be willing to hold back and to pray.

"To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men."

-Titus 3:2

You can take the path of most resistance or you can draw night to Jesus Christ.

Be merciful.

"For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy...."

-James 2:3
