“Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt, and serve ye the LORD.”

Joshua 24:14

Joshua makes a covenant with the children of Israel at the end of his life. The children of Israel list off the great works that the Lord did for them in Egypt and in the wilderness.

“And the LORD drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore we will also serve the LORD; for he is our God.”

Joshua 24:18

But look at how Joshua responds to them...

“And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.”

Joshua 24:19

They want to serve the Lord, but take no responsibility for their own severe violations against God’s law.

“And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.”

Joshua 24:24

These are people that want to be justified by their works, in hopes of making up for their continued idol worship. They wrongly seek to serve the Lord first and and obey him second after Joshua tells them, “fear the LORD, and serve him.”

Without faith it is impossible to please him with your actions. The law of Moses commands, “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”

Deuteronomy 6:5

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

John 4:24

“Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen”

1 John 5:21

“And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her. And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.”

Ruth 1:14-15

“But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the son of man with a kiss?”

Luke 22:48

“Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of the disciples, whom Jesus loved.”

John 13:23

“And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field and glean ears of corn after him whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go my daughter.” Ruth 2:2

“At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungered, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.”

Matthew 12:1

“Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?”

Ruth 2:10

“My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.”

Luke 1:46-48

“And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.”

Ruth 2:11

“Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.”

Luke 18:29-30

“The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”

Ruth 2:12

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”

Revelation 22:12

An excerpt from a CTV News article states, “As provinces begin lifting COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, psychology experts expect stress and anxiety to run high among those who remain wary of letting their guards down.”

According to media, this is the state of the world. Humans are scared to take off the shackles that they willingly put on themselves. Instead they prefer the safety of continued authoritarian pandemic restrictions. Psychological experts confirm this. Freedom equals anxiety.

Sadly, there’s a significant portion of people who’d rather all aspects of life be dictated to them by "authorities" who know better. In their minds, things could never be safe enough, even if it’s illusion.

These are the people still wearing masks after being fake-vaccinated and psychologically abused by their governments for 2 years.

They love their captors, they love their shackles, and they’ll drag the rest of the world into bondage with them for their own personal righteousness.

It’s long past time for the sober, God-fearing adults to step in. We tried the effeminate, pill-popping leadership and it failed us miserably.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour…” -I Peter 5:8:

The devil is running roughshod over the world because of its addictions to money and pleasure. He knows most of us have a price and would even inject ourselves with pharmaceutical poison if it means continued "safety and security".

So the time for hysterical, schizophrenic leadership is over. The Christ-rejecting men-pleasers in office have proven they are not equipped for doing what's right in the face of evil.

It's up to the remnant, as it's always been, to lead the way through tribulation, without anxiety or fear, but with the sound mind of Christ.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” -Ephesians 6:11
