Mercy & Meekness

Let us not tangle ourselves in affairs that cause us more strife than they bring us peace.

"....avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain."

-Titus 3:9

All of these are for our own vanity only. None of these bring glory to God or peace to our souls.

If we partake in nonsense, then we should expect our life to be filled with strife and meaningless battles that ultimately add up to nothing.

Additionally, we should be gentle to whatever extent possible. We’re all different and some of us rougher than others, but the Lord requires us to be merciful and meek unto all men. We should not be quick to the fight, even when we know we're right. Instead we must be willing to hold back and to pray.

"To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men."

-Titus 3:2

You can take the path of most resistance or you can draw night to Jesus Christ.

Be merciful.

"For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy...."

-James 2:3
